Masajid Jordan ("the app") helps you find mosques across Jordan, see prayer and iqama times, and find the qibla direction. This policy explains exactly what the app collects, what it does not, and who else is involved.

1. What the app collects

Location

With your permission, the app reads your device's location to show nearby mosques and their distance, to calculate prayer times for where you are, and to point the qibla compass. This happens entirely on your device. Your location is not transmitted to our servers, not stored by us, and not shared with anyone. The app requests location only while it is in use — it does not track you in the background. You can refuse or revoke the permission in your device settings; the app still works, using a default location for Amman.

Crash diagnostics

The app uses Google Firebase Crashlytics to report crashes so they can be fixed. When the app crashes, Crashlytics collects the device model, operating system version, app version, the technical stack trace, and an installation identifier generated by Firebase. It does not collect your name, email, or location.

Mosque corrections you choose to send

If you use "report incorrect information" on a mosque, we receive the message you wrote, which mosque it refers to, and your email address only if you choose to enter one. The email address is used solely to follow up on your report. Leaving it blank still submits the report.

Information kept only on your device

Your favourites, athkar and tasbih progress, reminders, and settings (language, theme, prayer calculation method) are stored locally on your device. They are never uploaded, and they are deleted when you uninstall the app.

• No account, sign-up, or login of any kind.
• No advertising, ad identifiers, or ad networks.
• No analytics, usage tracking, or behavioural profiling.
• No contacts, photos, files, camera, or microphone access.
• No selling or sharing of personal information with third parties.

5. How long information is kept

Mosque corrections are kept until the report has been reviewed and resolved, and then for a reasonable period as a record of the change. Crash reports are retained according to Firebase Crashlytics' own retention schedule. Data stored on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.

6. Children

The app is a general-audience prayer and mosque directory. It is not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from children.

7. Your rights

You can revoke the location and notification permissions at any time in your device settings, and you can remove everything the app stores by uninstalling it. If you submitted a mosque correction with your email address and would like it deleted, contact us and we will remove it.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new "last updated" date.
